Samsung phones has been producing innovative mobile phones. Every time it launches a product, it creates ripples among users. People wait so that they can buy Samsung handsets. The new one in the list is Samsung A887 Solstice. As much i’ve learned about it, the main focus of the gadget would be on Social Networking and Media. It has a round edged design that gives it a cute look. It weighs just 94 g and the dimensions are 109 x 53 x 12.7 mm. It showcases a TFT touchscreen with 256K colours and a large display of 3.0 inches. Its clearly visible indoors but it would prefer if it performs equally outdoors as well in bright sunshine. The touchscreen is responsive too. You don’t need to tap it again and again. The feature which makes me a fan of this handset is that you can adjust the intensity of vibration levels and the display’s calibration. There are keys lying below display that include send, end and back/clear keys.

They are easily noticeable and nice to press. Samsung A887 Solstice has TouchWizUI which is being seen in a lot of handsets these days. It operates on quad band that makes it suitable for usage around the globe. As I mentioned previously that focus is on social networking, there is a Facebook widget on the desktop that launches the browser to website. Both dial pad and QWERTY keyboard are provided by the interface for dialing and messaging, mailing or just chatting. The Samsung A887 Solstice has a 2MP camera that takes pretty good pictures. It also supports video capture to record your happy moments. There is an MP3/MP4 player though I would want the sound quality to be a little better. Easy controlling of video support and interface is another thing that attracts one to this handset. Phonebook stores 1000 entries and also has photo call feature. The battery back is of upto 5 h talk time and upto 250 h of stand-by time.
